Canon Solutions America, a wholly owned subsidiary of Canon U.S.A., Inc., today announced the availability of a fully automated print-to-pallet production workflow featuring Texas series flatbed printers, manufactured by DigiTech.
This innovative workflow, developed in collaboration with Infinite Motion Control, Inc.—an expert in industrial automation for digital printing and finishing—eliminates the need for user interaction, significantly boosting productivity. Branded under the tagline “Texas Inline Solution: Print-Cut-Automate-Sell,” this streamlined process not only enhances efficiency but also reduces waste and conserves valuable floor space.
Designed for medium-to-high-volume digital printing and finishing production, the automated workflow allows for hands-free material handling, preventing mistakes and material damage. The Texas series printers’ capabilities, including a dual-vacuum table with reversible flow, up to 1,200 dpi resolution, and maximum speeds of up to 4,500 square feet per hour, are seamlessly integrated into this system.
Available immediately, the automation workflow is tailored for medium-to-large-sized printing providers looking to incorporate automation into their operations. Printed sheets from the Texas printers are automatically transferred into the T510 Accumulator Tray, where they are held until the integrated Vector 3200 feeder picks up the materials using suction cups and feeds them to the Kongsberg C64 cutter (also available from Canon Solutions America).
After cutting, the iMS60 Cutter Stacker moves the materials onto a pallet, allowing operators to load material onto the printer while the automated solution handles the rest of the process. The T510 Accumulator Tray can handle material heights up to 18 inches and accommodates boards ranging from 4×8 to 5×10 feet. It is movable between the Texas LT/X2 printer and the IMC V3200 Vector Feeder.
The V3200 Vector Feeder supports board sizes up to 5×10 feet and a maximum weight of 50 pounds, while the iMS60 Cutter Stacker offers a 51-inch stack height for finished material.
