The Chartered Institute of Professional Printers of Nigeria [CIPPON] held a 3 days webinar in conjunction with DCS Integrated Media LTD; discussing on the new normal in print business, via Zoom meeting and facebook live stream on May 28 – 30, 11:00 pm West African time.
The webinar witnessed a flow of participants across the industry consisting of CIPPON executive members, manufacturers and distributors of printing machines, stake holders in the industry, printing press owners and printers from across the country.
The first day of the webinar treated the topic – Supporting Print Business in the New Normal, the second day – Exceeding Customer Expectation in the New Normal while the third day’s topic was – Re-inventing your Printing Press offering in the New Normal. Each day the webinar had more than 50 participants connected on zoom with questions coming from them to the Disscusants..
The President, of CIPPON Gbemi Malomo and other executive members were Discussant on the first day of the webinar enlightening printers and answering their questions on their plan to regulate the industry in the New Normal for the betterment of industry players. Printing machine dealers; in the likes of Xerox, Heidelberg, Skysat took the floor on the second day of the webinar which happened to be a very interactive session between them and participants. The last and the third day of the webinar brought commercial printing press top players as Discussant in the person of Alhaji Yahaya Amfani, Chairman Yaliam Press, Dr. Mrs. Adesola Falaiye; Deputy Director, AFKAR Printing and Publishing, Mr. Dapo Elegbe MD Whycross Press and Mr. Akinlabi Olawuni MD of Printserve.
Print Professionals were adviced to embrace the New Normal of the print business as things won’t go back to the way it has always been and the industry should look forward to expecting more insightful and informative webinars in the nearest future.
