Ricoh Unveils RICOH Pro C5400S Series: Empowering In-House Production with Innovative Advancements

EXTON, PA – Ricoh has announced the release of its latest color light-production sheet-fed digital printers—the RICOH Pro C5400S and RICOH Pro C5410S (RICOH Pro C5400S Series). This new series brings a suite of enhancements including professional-grade color consistency, precise registration, and an industry-first staple-less binding option. These advancements empower enterprises, in-plant print centers, marketing agencies, and commercial printers to efficiently produce professional materials in-house.

Compact Powerhouse for Versatile Production

Building on the success of the RICOH Pro C5300S and C5310S, the new Series maintains hallmark features such as high-speed output and outstanding paper handling, while introducing key improvements in performance and usability. Notably, the Pro C5410S reduces warm-up time from 120 seconds to just 26 seconds*, and the Pro C5400S warms up in just 30 seconds*, significantly improving workflow speed. Enhanced scanning speed and a new capacitive 10.1″ Smart Operation Panel improve the user experience and efficiency.

A standout innovation is the industry’s first* staple-less binding option, available with the SR5130 and SR5140 finishers. This environmentally friendly feature uses water to bind up to 16 sheets*4 (80 gsm/20lb bond), reducing waste and enhancing safety in sensitive environments such as schools and healthcare facilities.

Designed for Growth Across Industries

With print speeds up to 80 ppm, high image quality, and broad media compatibility—including coated, specialty, and synthetic stocks up to 360 gsm—the RICOH Pro C5400S Series supports a wide range of applications in light-production printing. It enables in-plant and franchise print shops to expand their service offerings and keep more work in-house.

New features for commercial printing include an optional envelope fusing unit that improves print quality and speed, a redesigned Vacuum Feed LCIT for enhanced image registration accuracy, and a streamlined user interface for managing paper settings. Additional tools like trapezoidal and right-angle correction, as well as sample print comparisons for transfer conditions, further support professional-grade output.

Environmental Responsibility and Smart Design

Ricoh has significantly increased its use of post-consumer recycled materials in the Series, demonstrating a commitment to environmental sustainability. The compact design of finishing options, such as a folding unit that is now less than half the width of the previous model, saves valuable floor space and expands operational flexibility.

On Display at IPMA 2025

The RICOH Pro C5400S Series is currently featured at IPMA 2025, held June 8–12 at the Davenport Grand Hotel in Spokane, WA. Attendees can explore the new printers alongside Ricoh’s broader portfolio of production and commercial print technologies.
