Chartered Institute of Professional Printers of Nigeria, CIPPON has officially cleared the air on the institute’s bid to ensure printers all over Nigeria identify with the regulating body in the country with the opening of a liaison office at plot 74, Ralph Sodeinde Street, Central Business District Abuja, Capital Territory recently.
In an official statement made by the Secretary of the institute, Mr. Akin Oduwole, he said: “We are happy to announce that work has started at the Abuja Liaison office. Many thanks to Mr. Kayode Alonge led committee that made this happen” He said
The announcement came as a fulfillment to the report given by the current administration during the industry Media Chat with CIPPON at the secretariat recently to account for their stewardship since their inauguration.
According to Mr. Oduwole during the media chat, he stressed that the current Council administration is centered on institutional integrity, transparency, advocacy, and reconnecting CIPPON back to the government.
Mr. Oduwole added that the institute is happy with the report they got from the Shomolu cluster with about 1,500 audited printers and used the platform to encourage other clusters to emulate the success story of Shomolu
He said “this is a good strategy for us in the area of employment potentials, the relevance of printing in Nigeria, which will provide solutions to national insecurity in the country. A lot of clusters have been formed and more will still be formed, the idea is that every sector in the industry will be able to come together to resolve their issues, and come up with solutions to their problems which makes the job of the regulator easy” He said.
