Epson America, Inc. will be hosting a webinar on Thursday, May 20, 2021, entitled, “Using Digital Varnish to add Value to Prime Labels” designed for label converters, commercial printers, and brand owners.
The Epson SurePress® L-6534VW UV digital label press offers the unique feature of digital varnish. A single clear ink can create matte and gloss spot varnish effects which can be used to create distinct visual and tactile finishes and simulated metallic foiling. Digital Varnish allows businesses to highlight important parts of a label, like sophisticated graphics, logos, and brand names. Digital varnish is laid down at the time of the label printing and does not require a separate machine. In addition, it is standard, reliable, and treated simply as another ink layer in the workflow.
In this webinar, Epson product experts will further discuss what digital varnish is, how analog varnish and digital are complementary, and how it works. The webinar will explore the benefits of digital varnish and look at how brand owners can integrate more embellishment options with both large and small runs – without the need for an expensive analog plate or long lead time. The webinar will also showcase real-world digital varnish examples and will be held in Epson’s updated demo facility.
