Fujifilm North America Corporation’s Graphic Communication Division has expressed disappointment in the United States International Trade Commission’s (ITC) final determination regarding antidumping (AD) and countervailing duties (CVD) on
aluminium lithographic printing plates imported from Japan and China. The decision imposes duties on these imports following investigations into pricing practices.
In a statement, Hidetoshi (Toshi) Kino, the general manager of the division, reaffirmed Fujifilm’s stance as a responsible market provider. Kino emphasized that customers choose Fujifilm’s aluminum lithographic printing plates for their innovative technology, superior features, and high-quality service. He expressed dissatisfaction with the ITC’s ruling.
The official written decision from the ITC, including the rationale for their affirmative vote, will be made public on November 12. Fujifilm plans to carefully review the details of the decision once available.
Kino indicated that the company would assess all available options after reviewing the ITC’s findings, including the possibility of appealing the ruling.
