GSE and Foremost eMage Partner to Bring Cutting-Edge Ink Dispensing Solutions to Taiwan

Brummen, Netherlands– GSE, a global leader in ink dispensing systems and software, has teamed up with Foremost eMage to bring advanced ink-handling solutions to Taiwan. This partnership aims to support local packaging and label converters in adopting automated ink management methods to comply with Taiwan’s stringent new environmental regulations.

Foremost eMage, a company with 50 years of experience in offset, flexo, and gravure printing, will be the exclusive agent for GSE in Taiwan. Known for its work as a security printer for the Asia-Pacific banking and telecommunications markets, Foremost eMage recently expanded into distribution, adding GSE to its portfolio, which already includes industry giants like Xeikon and Kocher + Beck.

“Foremost eMage’s deep understanding of the packaging and label printing market makes them an ideal partner for providing technical advice, installation support, and after-sales service,” said Maarten Hummelen, Marketing Director of GSE. “Their expertise will be vital in making ink dispensing technology more accessible, especially as Taiwan’s converters seek efficient solutions to meet ambitious greenhouse gas reduction targets.”

Taiwan’s Climate Change Response Act, which aims for net-zero emissions by 2050, imposes strict emissions limits on manufacturers. GSE’s Colorsat dispensing systems for flexo, gravure, and screen inks can help meet these requirements by preparing accurate spot colours in exact quantities on demand, reducing ink consumption by up to 30%, and minimizing material waste. These systems come equipped with Ink Manager software, which automates ink-related tasks and includes VOC reporting capabilities for easier compliance.

“In Taiwan, we see strong interest in GSE’s solutions for two main reasons,” said Robert Liao, Sales Director of Foremost eMage. “First, automated ink handling processes are a straightforward step towards lowering emissions. Second, these solutions create a clean, safe, and efficient work environment that is more appealing to young professionals.”

To promote sustainable printing practices, Foremost eMage is launching an educational campaign about the benefits of ink dispensing. Mr Liao will hold seminars in collaboration with Taiwan’s Printing Technology Research Institute (PTRI) to explain efficient ink handling for packaging printers and how to integrate dispensing into the print workflow. Foremost eMage will also showcase GSE’s products at TIGAX 2024, the international graphic arts and printing show, from October 3-6 in Taipei.

“GSE has a trusted reputation for machine quality and outstanding service,” Mr. Liao added. “We believe that GSE’s advanced ink logistics solutions will help Taiwan’s packaging printers transition to more sustainable processes.”

This collaboration marks a significant step towards enhancing the efficiency and sustainability of Taiwan’s printing industry, aligning with the country’s environmental goals and advancing the capabilities of local converters.
