The Deputy Managing Director, AFKAR Printing and Publishing Nigeria Ltd. – Dr. Mrs Falaiye has called on the government to create an enabling environment for Nigerian Print Practitioners to operate.
Falaiye made this statement at the printing, publishing and allied group of Lagos state chamber of commerce and industry at LCCI conference and exhibition centre, Ikeja Lagos where she was talking on the problem facing printing in Nigeria.
According to her, one of the biggest problems the industry is currently facing is reliance on importation of printed materials and print consumables from overseas hence her use of the platform to call on the government to create an enabling environment for Nigerian printers by removing huge reliance on importation.
Falaiye also encouraged Nigerians to patronize Nigeria first, sighting an example with sports; whenever it is time for world cup, we support our country but when it is time to patronize one another we go abroad and only consider Nigerian at the dying minute. She affirms that Nigerian printers are very good and are worth first choice not to be considered as last choice.
Also, she implored Nigerian printers to confidently believe in their products and services and upgrade themselves in the manner with which they market themselves and their products.
