Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A., Inc. is excited to share that one of its valued customers, Print Panther Direct in Ontario, Canada, has received the prestigious Best of Show: Best Use of Digital Embellishment award from the Foil & Specialty Effects Association (FSEA) for a project created on Konica Minolta’s industrial print production equipment. This accolade was presented during the 31st Annual Gold Leaf Awards. Notably, this marks the second consecutive year that a Konica Minolta client has been honored with this esteemed award.
The competition, which attracted a record number of entries from across the globe, recognizes outstanding print and packaging work that showcases diverse finishing techniques such as foil stamping, embossing, specialty coatings, film laminating, laser cutting, die cutting, and cold foil applications. The winners, including Print Panther Direct, were celebrated at a special reception held on April 10th at the Print Embellishment Conference in Dallas, Texas.
Print Panther Direct was awarded Best of Show for their exceptional work on the ‘Extreme Digital Guide 4’, originally submitted in the Best Use of Digital Embellishments – Sample Guide category. This innovative project was designed to highlight the capabilities of Konica Minolta’s digital press, showcasing advanced embellishments using CMYK, foils, varnish, and multiple passes of CMYK. Additionally, Print Panther Direct also received Gold Leaf Awards for their outstanding Freida Poster Series in the Best Use of Digital Foil (Carton) and Best Use of Digital Foil (Varnish Adhesive) categories.
In addition to Print Panther Direct’s success, eleven other Konica Minolta customers were recognized at the FSEA event, with a total of 23 FSEA awards earned collectively. President of Industrial Print and Production Print Business at Konica Minolta Frank Mallozzi, expressed pride in the creativity and innovation demonstrated by customers utilizing Konica Minolta’s equipment to produce exceptional print materials. This recognition underscores the company’s commitment to supporting its customers’ success and showcasing cutting-edge applications of digital printing technologies.
