Global Recognition Strengthens Korozo Group’s Role in Circular Flexible Packaging

Korozo Group continues to advance its position as a trusted global partner in sustainable flexible packaging, receiving significant international recognition for its commitment to environmental responsibility and innovation.

Sustainability Excellence Recognised

Korozo has once again been awarded the EcoVadis Silver Medal, placing the company among the top 15% of more than 130,000 organisations evaluated worldwide. This prestigious recognition highlights our ongoing progress across key sustainability criteria, including environmental impact, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement.

In addition, Korozo has been included in the CDP Climate Change ‘A’ List, reserved for only 2% of companies globally. This recognition reflects the accuracy and transparency of our environmental reporting, as well as the strength of our climate mitigation strategies.

“With expectations increasing for total transparency regarding environmental impact, earning a place on the CDP ‘A’ List recognises the quality of our disclosures and the effectiveness of our actions to reduce emissions,” said Dr. Betül Türel Erbay, Chief Innovation and Sustainability Officer, who accepted the award at the 15th CDP Climate Change & Nature Conference.

Award-Winning Circular Packaging Solutions

Korozo’s innovation in recyclable packaging has also been honoured at the 2025 PAGÇEV Plastic Recycling Awards. Our monomaterial stand-up pouches for laundry detergent capsules, featuring at least 30% post-consumer recycled (PCR) content, received a Silver Award in the Plastic Packaging and Packaging Materials category.

“This recognition highlights the real progress we are making in supporting circularity through material simplification and design,” said Can Ertekin, Market Manager for Stand-Up Pouches. “These solutions are not just concepts—they’re aligned with current infrastructure and ready for market.”

These innovations form part of Korozo’s broader strategy to comply with the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR), which requires all packaging to be recyclable by 2030 and to contain at least 35% PCR in plastic formats.

Driving the Future of Sustainable Packaging

Korozo continues to lead with purpose. In 2024 alone, we received 10 international packaging innovation awards, and in 2025 have already secured three honours at the WorldStar Global Packaging Awards—many recognising our proprietary KoroRCY laminated structure, engineered to optimise recyclability without compromising performance.

“Sustainability is a journey we’re committed to—through reduction, reuse, and recyclability,” added Dr. Betül Türel Erbay. “We are proud to work alongside our customers and partners to move our industry forward—pack by pack.”
