Global Plus Publishing (GPP) has introduced its latest acquisition, the innovative Ecoline Manugraph web printing machine, marking a significant advancement for the printing industry. This strategic initiative by GPP is aimed at curbing capital flight, enhancing efficiency, and promoting sustainability, thereby positioning the company at the forefront of eco-friendly printing solutions.
During the unveiling ceremony held at GPP’s head office in Lagos, Managing Director Pastor Folasade Imoagene emphasized the transformative impact of this new technology on the company’s printing capabilities. She encouraged publishers to utilize local printing services instead of outsourcing abroad, highlighting this development as a new era for the printing industry. “Today, we celebrate a significant milestone in our journey as the foremost and preferred printing press, not only within this country but beyond the shores of Nigeria. We have been in existence for 18 years, and today we are reborn,” she said.
Imoagene noted that the capacity expansion with the addition of the web printing machine represents a major leap forward in GPP’s business positioning. She added, “The machine will help printers to easily do their jobs within Nigeria, saving time and foreign exchange. The instability in the foreign exchange and the economic climate is making us look more inward and become closer friends at this time. We have to build our capacity as a nation, in human resources, equipment, and overall capabilities, keeping our money in Nigeria.
“The GPP MD affirmed that the Ecoline Manugraph Web Printing Machine will enable GPP to serve its customers more efficiently and timely. “We are ready and have the capacity required to handle any project, no matter how small. In doing so, we have also mastered the art of adding value to our customers. We provide proofreading services for every job that comes to GPP, something our valued customers deeply appreciate.
“Imoagene also revealed plans for acquiring a world-class 3D printing machine in the near future, underscoring GPP’s commitment to advancing technological capabilities and maintaining industry leadership.
At the event, Chairman of GPP Yemisi Kudehinbu highlighted that Global Plus Publishing is the realization of Pastor Chris Oyakhilome’s visionary work. She recalled a time when printing had to be done in India and South Africa, attributing GPP’s establishment to Pastor Chris’s inspiration. “Pastor Chris gave a word and said, why don’t you set up a press, a printing press for this? Today, we have Global Plus Publishing. He believes in Nigeria and that we can solve our own challenges. No one will build Nigeria for us; Nigerians will build Nigeria.
“Kudehinbu reiterated GPP’s commitment to the growth of Nigeria’s printing industry, expressing gratitude to the Bank of Industry (BoI) and First City Monument Bank (FCMB) for their financial support in acquiring the Ecoline web machine.
President of the Chartered Institute of Professional Printers of Nigeria (CIPPON), Babajide Salako, expressed his delight at the installation of the new Ecoline Manugraph Web Printing Machine. He praised GPP’s dedication to excellence and technology, stating, “As president of CIPPON, I’m proud to see our members embracing innovation and sustainability.” He urged industry stakeholders to collaborate for the industry’s betterment, emphasizing that the new machine promises improved efficiency, quality, and productivity.
Dr. Olasupo Olusi, Managing Director of BoI, represented by Acting Regional Manager for Lagos Richard Imonije, commended GPP for its excellence in publishing and commitment to quality. “As you continue to inspire readers and authors with your innovative publications, please know that we are here to provide any assistance you may need within our purview,” Olusi added.
