HEIDELBERG Launches Jetfire 50 B3 Inkjet Printing System for Customer Demos

Wiesloch-Walldorf, Germany – Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG (HEIDELBERG) has officially commenced demonstration operations for its new Jetfire 50 B3 inkjet printing system at the Print Media Center (PMC) in Wiesloch-Walldorf. This cutting-edge system, unveiled at drupa 2024 in collaboration with Canon, marks HEIDELBERG’s entry into industrial digital commercial printing and is now available for customer demonstrations starting September 2024.

A group of Swiss customers recently attended the premiere, showcasing the system’s capabilities. The Jetfire 50, designed for B3 sheet format, offers a productive and reliable solution for a wide range of commercial printing needs. It is capable of handling various print jobs, including brochures, flyers, cards, and posters, and customers are invited to test their own print jobs on the machine.

HEIDELBERG’s PMC in Wiesloch-Walldorf now welcomes customers to book demonstrations through their respective sales contacts. The demonstrations will also highlight the hybrid production capabilities of the Jetfire 50, which integrates seamlessly with HEIDELBERG’s offset and digital printing systems via the Prinect workflow. This integration allows for increased flexibility, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness in print production, while providing standardized access to the HEIDELBERG ecosystem.

Dr. David Schmedding, Chief Technology & Sales Officer at HEIDELBERG, expressed the company’s commitment to expanding its digital offerings for commercial print shops. “Customers can now put the new B3 Jetfire 50 inkjet printing system through its paces at the Print Media Center in Wiesloch-Walldorf. The focus is on the advantages and possibilities of hybrid production in conjunction with our solutions for sheetfed offset printing,” he said.

The first installations of the Jetfire 50 are expected to begin in the first quarter of 2025, offering print service providers an alternative production method that combines the flexibility of digital printing with the stability and performance of inkjet technology. HEIDELBERG will provide full service and consumables support for the new system, ensuring a seamless experience for early adopters.
