PROFILE OF CHIEF OLU ORIADE
Born on 6th June, 1939, HIGH CHIEF OLADAISI MATHEW ORIADE fiop, miccpn attended St James’ Catholic Primary School in his home town, Oke-Igbo in Ondo state, from 1947 to 1954. In 1965, he proceeded to the Technical Institute Yaba (now Yaba College of Technology). He was then moved to the University of Ibadan between 1961 and 1962, after which he proceeded abroad to attend the Technical University, Hamburg, West Germany between 1963 and 1966.
His working life started in Nigeria in 1966 when he joined Nigeria Paper Mill ltd, Jebba as the first Nigeria Resident Engineer. In 1968, he moved to Nigerpak Ltd, Apapa as the Factory Manager. By 1972, he left to join his late brother’s company, Fissayo Holdings Ltd, as the General Manager/Director, a position he held till 1975. He was employed as Works Manager in 1978 in Studio Press Nigeria Ltd, and left in 1988 as the works Director.
He facilitated the starting of Interpak Ltd, Ibadan in 1988 and left in 1991 as General Manager/Director to head the packaging arm of John West Publications/Packaging Ltd. Ikeja as Managing Director. Between 1996 and 2004 he was the Managing Director of Eagle Package Printing Ltd, Ota. Resigned from active service to his own Company Kraun Nigeria Company as Executive Chairman in 2004 Between 1982 and 1994 he was a Counselor/Moderator, Yaba college of Technology, Yaba. He was also an award winner – Management. Printing & Packaging Practices etc.
PROFESSIONAL AFFILIATION
He was passionate about the printing profession and ready to go to great length to foster best practices in the Industry. He was a Fellow of the Institute of Printing UK and Nigeria, Fellow Institute of Sales & Marketing Management, UK, Member, Nigeria Institute of Management (Chartered) Member, Institute of Packaging, UK and Member, Institute of logistics, UK.
His selfless contributions to the system got him into leadership roles in most organizations he belonged he was the founding President, Institute of Printing, Nigeria (Chartered) now Chartered Institute of Professional Printers of Nigeria (CIPPON). Chairman; Nigeria Institute of Packaging. Vice Chairman; Olorintele Community Bank Ltd., Okeigbo, Ondo state. Council member, Ogun State Manufacturers Association (MAN) and the national body of MAN.
He also belongs to many social clubs such as Ikeja Country Club, United Brothers Society of Nigeria Ibadan, Ogudu clube 81, Ogudu, Lagos etc.
He died on the 26th of November, 2008. He is survived by his wife, all his children and grand children.
