Chief Executive Officer of ALETS Inspirations Limited, Mr. Tunde Aleilo has described Nigeria printing industry as an elephant learning to walk and also a nation without a defining border, he made it known during a recent one-on-one interview session at Akeju, Shomolu Lagos.
According to the artistic-oriented print professional, he said “Nigeria printing industry is an elephant that is still learning to walk, of course, an elephant is a very big animal that should be stable and cannot be hidden, so it is to Nigeria printing industry; it’s a big industry and a wide one but so many issues, initially we have ASSPPON and CIPPON was supposed to be a regulatory body and there was a time we had good leaders who tried their best and the regime of the current CIPPON president in the person of Mr. Olugbemi Malomo alongside his council members are doing things appropriately and tried to resuscitate the dying industry but lately some sycophants in Abuja feels that because their selfish interest needed to be protected, they went to sponsor some miscreants and the result is that the industry has two parallel executives council”
“In this industry, people don’t believe we can actually achieve more together, for instance, I have a DI machine and I have a neighbor that has DI machine as well, downstairs a guy has a DI machine as well also beside me here there is a DI machine, what I say to my team member is that yes, we are in competition but yet in a healthy competition, I believe more in collaboration, there are a couple of time our machine gives us an issue, we just go downstairs and get our jobs done, so I think the problem in Nigeria printing industry is a mini-anchor of what is happening in Nigeria government at large, where I is greater than WE, still in the same Nigeria INEC will be printing outside the country, in a country that has indescribable potentials but unfortunately we have people that can’t see beyond their nose and it’s so disheartening and annoying, we needed to come out and it seems the solution is not in view, how I wish everybody could come together and get everything done in this industry”. He stated
