PRINTERS MUST BE A REGISTERED MEMBER OF CIPPON TO ENJOY GOVERNMENT PALLIATIVE – GBEMI MALOMO

The President, Chartered Institute of Professional Printers of Nigeria (CIPPON), Gbemi Malomo has said only printers, who are registered under CIPPON can get access as well as enjoy palliatives from the Nigerian Federal Government this period of the Covid-19 pandemic.

He said this while answering a question in just concluded webinar (Day 1), May 28, 2020, organized by CIPPON in conjunction with DCS Integrated Media Ltd, publishers of Printer’s Digest Magazine. He was asked what should Printers do in order to benefit from the palliative the Federal Government is distributing to other sectors. He said The Nigerian printers are to come together and speak with one voice under the umbrella of CIPPON and this cannot be done except if printers are registered members of the chartered body.

Also, the president said, a printer must be a registered member of CIPPON to be able to open a printing press, without having a license of membership to CIPPON a printer won’t be able to do so or even function.
The webinar which lasted for an hour and few minutes, was insightful as participants were able to ask questions on issues of concern in the industry.

The facilitator, Mr. Tunde Obokhai, MD/CEO, DCS Integrated Media LTD, encouraged participants and Nigerian printers at large to embrace the new normal as innovative measures like zoom meeting will be held going forward.
